Theater Owner Has Issues With Jane Fonda
So why is theater owner, Ike Boutwell, refusing to show a film that was a big box office hit and what is his problem with actress Jane Fonda?Boutwell has been reported to have told The-News-Enterprise that people who want to see the movie will have to go somewhere else and it's because it has Jane Fonda in it.
Even though theater goers are ranting about the movie and it actually debuted last weekend in the top spot, he sticking to his word.
The reason why he won't show the popular movie in his theater is because of statements and demonstrations Jane Fonda made against the Vietnam War caused him to see her as an traitor. Turns out that Boutwell is a Korean War veteran who trained pilots during the Vietnam War. These guys take their patriotism seriously and I don't blame them.
Despite losing out on the large amount of money his theater could be bringing in, Boutwell stays firm to his word.
