Lakers Sign Jordan Farmar

lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are Reaching Back

After a very disappointing 2012-2013 season, the Los Angeles Lakers are currently making moves to rebuild their team for the upcoming season.

The Lakers signed former point guard Jordan Farmar to a one-year deal and currently will be used as an back-up for Steve Nash.

Farmar played with the Lakers from 2006-2010 and played well together with Kobe Bryant.
Kobe welcomes the signing and expressed his feelings via a tweet:

Familiar faces Familiar places? Chemistry is always the most important thing on any team on any sport or business #lakerpuzzle

I totally agree with his statement.

The Lakers are also looking to bring back fan favorite Lamar Odem. This will add size to the Lakers lineup.
Odem and Gasol played well together during their championship years and I'm looking forward to seeing all four play together once again.

Lakers and Chris Kaman Agree to a One-Year Deal

The Los Angeles Lakers Latest Deal

lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers reach a one year deal with free agent center Chris Kaman to replace Dwight Howard.

Here are his 2012-2013 stats with the Dallas Mavericks:
  • PPG: 10.5
  • RPG: 5.60
  • APG: 0.8
  • EFF: +11.70
If everything stays the same, the Lakers front line will be Kaman, Gasol, Hill & Sacre.

With it only being a one-year deal the Lakers will keep their books clear when the new season comes around and will aid in the quest for free agents.

We'll see how it works out.
