Cowboys' Nose-tackle Josh Brent Charged with Manslaughter

Dallas Cowboys nose-tackle Josh Brent was charged with manslaughter this Saturday December 8, 2012 after the vehicle his was driving and crashed resulted in the death of passenger and practice squad Jerry Brown Jr.

Police state that Brent was driving at a high rate of speed at 2:21 on a state highway when lost control and slammed into an outside curb causing the vehicle to flip at least once before coming to rest.

Brent failed his sobriety test was booked charged with manslaughter for driving while intoxicated. This isn't Brent's first alcohol related situation but certainly his worst. He was arrested in 2009 for DUI.

This is sad news for both families involved because this could have been prevented.
