Dwight Howard is Headed to Houston

It's Official; Dwight Howard Will Not Be In A Laker Uniform Next Season!

After the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the San Antonio Spurs this past postseason, a lot of discussion went to how the Lakers would do this summer to make the team better contenders for the 2013-2014 season.

However the majority of the talk was focused on if Dwight Howard would remain a Laker or not.
Dwight Howard signed a one year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers and was a free agent at the end of the 2012-2013 season.

After their loss to the Spurs Howard stated that he would take a couple weeks off before he would even think about his basketball career and what he plans to do.

Many people, including myself, saw that as a sign that he would not sign with the Lakers again.
Teams including the Dallas & Houston where reported to be interested in signing Howard .

While GM Mitch Kupchak stayed optimistic in being able to retain the services of Howard, rumors began to surface that he was unhappy with how he's being used in the coach's system and playing 2nd-fiddle to Kobe Bryant.

It was also said that Howard couldn't live up to the high expectations that the Los Angeles Lakers fans demand of their team.

Whatever the issue, it was announced a couple hours or so ago that Howard made a decision and is now going to sign with the Houston Rockets.

Bye Bye Howard!

I personally will not miss you Dwight Howard. You really didn't want to come to Los Angeles anyway. You didn't want to live in the shadows or be compared to former Laker great Mr. Shaquille O'Neal or other Lakers greats.

Los Angeles is a city of champions which you clearly are not. So off you go and don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you!

We will rebuild and be in championship form before too long. We always have and always will.
