The System Let A Cold Blooded Killer Walk!

system

The System Wasn't Created For All!

On July 13, 2013 George Zimmerman was found not guilty for the February 26, 2012 killing of unarmed 17 year-old Trayvon Martin by a jury of six women in a Florida courthouse.

What kind of a world do we live in where someone can profile, stalk and murder someone based upon a suspicion and get away with it?

That's exactly what happened in the State vs. George Zimmerman case. The overzealous neighborhood watchman was set free by a crooked-racist system after killing an unarmed teenager simply walking home from a neighborhood convenience store minding his own business.

Travesties like this happen far too often but don't make the headlines such as this case.

Is it now time to tell our young that any of us can be murder in cold blood and the system wasn't designed with us in mind and that it never has nor ever will see us as equals?

The verdict sends us a direct message that nothing has changed and that certain individuals can do as they please without the consequences that a fair, equal for all judicial system should bring.

This case has similarities to the 1955 murder case of 14 year-old Emmitt Till where two white men kidnapped Till, beat him beyond recognition and shot him in the head for supposedly flirting with a white woman in Mississippi.

The panel of all white male jurors acquitted the two men of all charges. The deliberations only lasted approximately 67 minutes.

So it was back then, so it remains today!

A System Filled With Racism!

How is it that someone can hunt down and kill an innocent unarmed young man and walk?

George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin as a thug-criminal based upon his color, decided to take matters into his own hands which resulted in him killing him. He later is rewarded by a racist system for his actions.

George Zimmerman was not brutally beat by Trayvon Martin. The evidence and his story simply didn't add up.
  • No marks or bruises found on Trayvon's hands that you'd definitely get if you were repeatedly hitting someone's face
  • No blood on Trayvon's hands
  • None of Trayvon's DNA found on the gun
  • The two little injuries on the back of George's head were  not consistent with ones you'd get if your head was repeatedly being slammed into the concrete
  • Why wasn't his face swollen after being beaten by raw fist?
George Zimmerman's story was full of holes and the state of Florida released him and now he's free to kill again.

We all just witnessed a modern day lynching. The system once again has made it clear that it is open season on blacks and that they will continue to protect their own.

If the roles were reversed the outcome would've been totally different. All men were created equal but in this country not treated that way. It's sad but a reality.

We need to stay encourage and prayerful that one day this nation will someday turn from its ways and treat all men as equals.

Currently the Justice Department is looking into the shooting of Trayvon Martin and although he was acquitted by a Florida jury he still can face criminal civil rights charges in federal court.

Let's see what happens from here.
