Katt Williams: In The Spotlight Again

Katt Williams was arrested this past Friday in his Los Angeles area home on suspicion of felony child endangerment.   

 He was taken to the LAPD's Valley Jail in Van Nuys.

Details of the alleged acts are generally kept confidential when it involves minors.

This hasn't been a good year for Katt. He has had many brushes with the law including: gun violation, driving issue, bar fight, arrest after a stand-up show, parking infraction and a hotel disturbance.

I wish the best for my brother and hope the new year brings him peace and calm.

Loose Something? Tiny Tracking Stickers Will Find It

A series of Bluetooth-powered stickers have just been created that will track down items you have misplaced. The stickers are called StickNFind.

These innovative stickers are about he size of a U.S. quarter and sync with a smartphone app. Their range is approximately 100 feet

Here's how they work:

The items you tag with the stickers are displayed on the apps screen, which will let you know how far away you are from them.

When you've misplaced something that has been tagged, all you have to do is tap that item on the screen of your phone and the sticker will buzz and light up from that point.

It's just that easy.

The estimated time for the first batch of stickers to be released is March 2013.

I don't misplace a lot but these great new stickers can aid in the times that I do.

I'm definitely going to buy myself a pack once released.

U.S. Military Commander of the 1st Gulf War Dies at 78

The commander of the U.S. forces during the 1991 Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm), H. Norman Schwarzkopf, has died at the age of 78. He was in Tampa, Florida.

Operation Desert Storm lasted just over a month as U.S.  military forced Saddam Hussein's soldiers out of Kuwait.

Schwarzkopf was tagged with the nickname "Stormin' Normin" during the war.

The cause of his death is unclear at this point.

20 Students and 6 Adults Die in Elementary School Shooting

I'm in no mood to blog today because my heart is heavy after hearing the tragic news of the innocent lives lost in the senseless massacre at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton Connecticut today December 14, 2012.

18 children were killed on the scene and two more later in a hospital after 24 year old, heavily armed Ryan Lanza, of New Jersey,  invaded the school and started spraying them with bullets.

Six adults were also killed during the shooting including the gunman's own mother. Another body was found in the shooter's home officials said bringing to total to 27.

My heart and prayers goes out to all the families that were effected by today's horrific event. May God bless and comfort you all.

I'm Tired of Dumb-ass Questions!

For those of you who follow my blogs will find this particular one out of the ordinary. If my expressions appear to be rude, harsh, cruel, unsympathetic or down-right insulting; I do apologize. But sometimes you have to say enough is enough! Sometimes you have to kick the door down; fart in your cubicle and dare to person sitting next to you say something; let the old lady carry in her own damn grocery bags and tell the Jehovah Witness to get the hell off your porch! You see once you’re close to getting to the point of no return, you have to release some way or the other. And sense I can’t cut loose on a potential customer; I’ll do it via this blog.

By trade I do automotive detailing for a living. I’m the sole proprietor of Aaron’s Mobile Detailing servicing the South Bay (cities within Los Angeles County). I’ve come to the realization over the years that as long as I’m in business; I’ll never be able to avoid people calling with dumb-ass questions. I’m talking about questions that you would think the dumbest of the dumb wouldn’t ask. I’m talking about questions you wouldn’t even give a kid a pass on.

So now you are thinking; Aaron stop bitching about it and get to the dumb-ass questions. If that is what you are thinking that’s fucked up on your end. Keep in mind I get a lot of people calling me with these dumb-ass questions. And all who ask these questions should jump into the vehicles and drive off the nearest cliff to end their existence.

Question number 1: “Are you mobile?” You freakin’ idiot! Did you not just call Aaron’s MOBILE Detailing? You’re so dumb I don’t even want to detail your vehicle. Dumb-ass!

Question number 2: “Does mobile mean you come to me?” Dipshit…………think about it for a sec; will ya? Dumb-ass!

Question number 3: “Do you do detailing?” What the fuck is wrong with you? It’s like me calling Pizza Hut asking if they make pizzas! Dumb-ass!

Question number 4: “Can I get a car wash?” Where on my website or even on one of the profiles I have listed out there does it say I car wash! Based upon the information I’ve provided and the customer reviews; how do you come up with thinking I’ll drive across town just to wash your vehicle for about $15 or so? Dumb-ass!

I’m going to stop right here because just by me creating this blog is giving me back-flashes and is now pissing me off! So you know what I go through routinely. I just had to release a bit before I let loose on a potential customer.

Manny Pacquiao Gets Rocked

Fighter Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38 KOs) gets knocked out in round six in his fourth and final match up against Juan Manuel Marquez(55-6-1, 40 KOs). With one second remaining in the round Marquez dropped Paquiao with a fierce right counter right hook which kept the fighter face down on the canvas for quite some time. This is the first knock out in all four fights.

In their previous three fights the decision was left up to the judges. But in this fight Marquez left no doubt who the winner would be.

Cowboys' Nose-tackle Josh Brent Charged with Manslaughter

Dallas Cowboys nose-tackle Josh Brent was charged with manslaughter this Saturday December 8, 2012 after the vehicle his was driving and crashed resulted in the death of passenger and practice squad Jerry Brown Jr.

Police state that Brent was driving at a high rate of speed at 2:21 on a state highway when lost control and slammed into an outside curb causing the vehicle to flip at least once before coming to rest.

Brent failed his sobriety test was booked charged with manslaughter for driving while intoxicated. This isn't Brent's first alcohol related situation but certainly his worst. He was arrested in 2009 for DUI.

This is sad news for both families involved because this could have been prevented.

Katt Williams Retires

Today on his Facebook Fan Page Katt Williams posted that he is retiring again stating that he is tired of the industry.

I respect his decision to do what he feels best for him and his family but from a fan's point of view I hope he doesn't. He is a very funny, gifted comedian and will be truly missed by many. I would love to see him return as Money Mike in "Last Friday" if it is actually in the making.

As selfish as it may be I just hope he takes a break and return to do what he does best and that's make us all laugh.

Kobe Reaches 30,000

Los Angeles Laker star Kobe Bryant became the fifth player to score 30,000 career points in NBA history. He now joins NBA greats Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain to have reached this great feat. He reached it by scoring a short drop in after driving to the basket against tonight New Orleans Hornets.

Great job Mr. Bryant! Kobe's next achievement for his career is to pass Wilt Chamberlain on the all-time scoring list. If he stays healthy he should accomplish it this season. Go Kobe!

Auto Detailing Tip: Wax it Before It Rains

Professional Auto Detailing Tips

Having you vehicle waxed prior or during the rainy season is actually a very good idea if you give it some serious thought.

Most people feel the warm (summer time) season is the best time to have their vehicle waxed but they fail to realize that waxing prior to the winter season is just as important.

Here's why I say so:
During the rainy season think of all the dirt, oil and grime constantly being splashed on your vehicle. If your vehicle isn't protected by a good coat of wax or sealant, that filthy water will embed itself in the pores of your paint if left to dry. Over time along with other environmental contaminants, this will lead to premature aging of your paint and decrease the value of your vehicle if not corrected.

Why put yourself through that? Schedule auto detailing for both the summer and winter seasons.
A good layer of wax or sealant will shield the polluted water from embedding itself into your paint by bedding it and having it to roll right off. Think of it as your raincoat in a storm. This will also aid in the premature aging of your paint.

A good way to get traffic to your blog is to ping them once one is created or recently updated. By having your blog pinged you are alerting search engines that changes have been made to your blog thus generating attention and traffic to it.

Of course there are several other ways you can go about driving more traffic to your blog but for the sake of this blog I'm only going to mention two traffic generating tools I've been using as of late.

These two tools are fun and very easy to use for your blog post. There's nothing to join and nothing to install on your computer. Simply log on to the site and you're ready to go.

I use www.pingler.com and www.ping.in for my blogs. They send out several pings to many searching engines creating the buzz and traffic that you want. And the best part is that they do it for free.

Along with other tools/techniques I'm using to drive traffic to my blog, I hope to see a lot of my blogs make the first page of Google when someone does a search with them same subject matter. That's what we all want; right?

Chris Tucker in "Last Friday"? / Friday Movie

A lot of people have seen this promo and had believed that there will be one "Last Friday" to conclude this ghetto classic. Even I got caught up in the hype of it all. Why not? Who wouldn't love to see Chris Tucker return as Smokey to conclude this four part sequel?

Chris Tucker while on the Tom Joyner morning show said that he and Ice Cube have discussed doing it one last time but it looks it might not happen.

I personally hope that they can put something together and make it happen. I would love to see everyone from "Friday" and most from "Friday After Next" return to their roles and end the series with a bang! That would be a treat.

Lakers Are Getting Better

The beginning of the Mike D'Antoni era is starting off in good fashion. The newly vamped team had an impressive victory over the Houston Rockets 119 to 108 last night with Kobe Bryant leading the way with a impressive triple-double 22pts, 11 REB, 11 AST.

Dwight Howard says he's only 75-80% right now. That's impressive seeing he had 28pts & 13 REB last night.

Will the offensive run & gun style of D'Antoni work out for the Lakers? Only time will tell.

Katt Williams Fights With Oakland Fans

Comedian Katt Williams gets into it with fans at a recent show show in Oakland California. The show ended awkwardly when the comedian began to insult several of the fans by swearing at them, rambling and provoking fights. He eventually had to be pulled off stage by his security staff. Drugs had a lot to do with his surprising behavior. Katt Willams was later arrested after the show.

Posting Ads on Backpage vs. Craigslist

If you are an internet marketer such as me looking for a way to get more exposure to your online campaign, I strongly suggest posting your ads on Backpage. They allow you to post the same ad in as many cities as you like. I was able to post 50 ads in one day! The only thing I had to do was change the title of each ad and that was it. I was able to add pictures as well as links to all the ads. I was very pleased in how they came out. The ads all look clean and professional. It didn't take long to start receiving leads from my efforts. I will definitely use Backpage again and again.

Craigslist on the other hand has way too many silly restrictions such as not being able to post in as many cities as you like. Come on now; that's the point of advertising, being able to reach as many people as you can with one or multiple ads! The only way you can get this done with Craigslist is that you set up different accounts using different email addresses for each, different IP (computer) addresses and different verifiable phone numbers. Although they have a much larger audience, it's too much of a hassle. Backpage.com is where I'll do the majority of my posting for now on!

Stop Calling Me for Small Jobs! / Auto Detailing

Some Calls Shouldn't Be Made for Auto Detailing

I'm really sick and tired of people calling me thinking I'm going to come out for small jobs! My online profile reads; "I specialize in complete interior-exterior auto detailing for home or office visits. Services can include clay, polish, wax, shampoo, leather conditioning, engine cleaning, headlight cleaning and much more." With the multiple 5 star reviews of people testifying of the all great work and long hours I put in; it should be very evident that I'm the guy that does the serious work. One would think at least.

But no! I get some of the silliest calls you could imagine. Below are an examples:

a. I spilled pee on my passenger seat and I'd like to know will you come out just for that?
b. I spilled a cup of coffee in my car. Will you come out & clean it up for me?
c. Someone threw up in my car. Will you come out & shampoo that one area?
f. Someone busted my window in. Will you come to vacuum up the glass?
g. I need a car wash. Will you come out for that?

Pause Before Making a Call for Auto Detailing

Seriously people; take time to think before you make that call. Not only are you wasting your time with your silly questions, you are wasting mine! Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate every call but some questions shouldn't be asked. Ask yourself; would it really make sense for someone to come clear across town to handle any of those small request.

Quick Suggestion for Those Confused about Auto Detailing

There are stationary car wash operations/detailing shops will handle some of the smaller jobs mentioned above. All is not lost.

Success / What Does It Mean?

Being a success. What does it actually mean? Does it mean having all the money you could ever hope for? Does it mean living in a lavish home or driving an expensive vehicle?  Does it mean being able travel the world whenever your heart's desire? Does it mean graduating from college with a bunch of letters behind your name? Does it mean having your dream job or even your own business?

Many will say yes to some if not all of the above and I can see why because that's how most were taught. But is there more to it? Why do material items determine if we get labeled a success or not? Now please don't take me wrong; I think it's great to be able to buy nice things and travel the world as you choose.

I think if you ask most people if they rather live in a lavish home in a nice neighborhood with a two car garage they would all say yes. Who wouldn't? But does that mean a person that can't afford those luxuries but living comfortably is not a success? I say no.

If you are living in home or even an apartment in an area that's not deemed as upper class and have decent transportation to take where you want to go, and you are happy with the status of your life, in my eyes you are a success. I've always felt that way.

Being successful to me means being happy and content with what you've accomplished and your status in life. If you are; what can anyone say?

A fellow blogger posted a question the other night on Facebook asking what should you do when you have writer’s block.

I responded by informing her that she can blog about anything that comes to mind. One or two lines will do. It really doesn’t matter.

I went on to giving her some ideas such as:

• Her favorite color.
• Her favorite group or album
• The car that she drives
• What she was cooking for dinner that evening
• What may have pissed her off that day
• Her favorite sports team; if she has one

Before too long she posted a blog on Facebook. I didn’t read it but it was there.
So when it comes to writer’s block; just choose any subject and begin writing to get your blog in for the day.

Being Self Employed

October 15, 2011 was my last day of ever having to work for someone else for a living. That's right; I walked. I am totally free and independent! No longer do I have to wake up at a set time to an annoying alarm clock. No longer am I'm obligated to working on someone's set schedule for me, doing what they say to do, when they say to do it and how to do it. No longer am I busting my ass aiding in making someone else rich; living the life they have wanted while I live from paycheck to paycheck. And it feels good to say that's all in the past now because I am totally free.

Now being self employed isn't all peaches and cream. You now have to work harder then you did when you where working for someone else. The success of your business falls solely on your shoulders. There's no one to depend upon but you. It's you behind the steering wheel in control and no one else. So stay alert. Keep up with your competitors. If their getting multiple five star reviews on site such as Yelp; read them, take from them to see why customers are praising them. Remember; you can always learn from something someone else is doing whether it is positive or negative and use it to your advantage.

People have said to me that they would love to become self employed but they don't know what to do. I've always responded by telling them to find something they have a passion for and love to do and if it's marketable; that's your answer. If you don't love what you're doing chances are it's going to reflect in your work and attitude thus setting the course for failure.

A Fight for $0.22

I've seen crazy things in my life so far and have been through many difficult battles. I never would have imagined that someday I'd be in a battle for something as small as $0.22. Well today just so happened to be that day.

So I go to the small grocery store a few blocks from my house to pick up a gallon of water and a two liter soda. I get to the register and the cashier is having a conversation with the bag boy. I wait there for an approximately 10-15 seconds before she even turns around and acknowledges she has a customer waiting.

When she does finally turn around she gives me this weird look as if she were saying to me "Yes I made you wait and there's nothing wrong with it." She rings me up and the total came to $2.28. I hand her $2.50 in quarters. The silly girl did something wrong with the register so the screen and receipt didn't show the exact change do. She pauses more a moment and then hands me $0.17. Now I'm no math major but I can do simple math.

I then inform the silly girl that she didn't give me the correct amount back. She pauses again (trying to do simple math in that silly mind of hers), takes back $0.05. WTF!! I then informed her that she owes me $0.22.

A manager then comes to the register and they begin talking amongst themselves. The silly girl goes on to explain to the manager that the receipt didn't print correctly. The manager looks at me and says the change she gave back is correct. WTF! You both missed class that day?

I had to break it down to both of them as if I were speaking to two little kids.

"Don't think about dollars, we're dealing with cents here. If the change of the bill total came out to be $0.28 and I give you $0.50, you will then owe me $0.22."

THAT SIMPLE ASS EXPLANATION STILL WASN'T ENOUGH! So let's try a different approach.

I opened my hand that was holding the $0.10 and two $0.02. Again I had to explain as if I had two little kids in front of me.

"If you take $0.02 and add them to the $0.28, it will make it $0.30. Now children; if you take this sexy little $0.10 that I have hear and add it to the $0.30 from earlier, you now have $0.40. Now bitch WTF do you owe me?

I told them both they can do it on a calculator if they like. It then became clear to the manager so she then handed me the $0.10 that was due.

Wow; I had to fight for $0.22. I know it's a small amount but it was mine!
